Chiropractic Care

Target your pain at Revive.

Supporting the Orangeville community, one treatment at a time.

Struggling with movement affects your mind, body, and soul.

Where there is restriction, there is frustration. Injury and limitation affect you, your family, and your everyday life. Our practitioners understand the impact of pain and immobility and are fully equipped to address each impairment so that you can start moving with ease.

Chiropractic Adjustments

Each adjustment enhances wellbeing and movement possibilities.

Chiropractic care is based on the diagnosis and manipulative treatment of misalignments of the joints, especially those of the spinal column, which are held to cause other disorders by affecting the nerves, muscles, and organs.

Our practitioners are trained in manual diversified technique. This means they are proficient in a variety of hands-on adjustment styles, ensuring that the you can tolerate the adjustment. Spinal and extremity adjustments are high-speed, low-force thrusts applied to a restricted joint, which allows restoration of normal range of motion, decreased muscle tension, and less pain perception.

Chiropractic care, when combined with a wellness lifestyle, helps to create positive habits in your wellness journey.

Exercise Rehabilitation

Movement is medicine!

At Revive we pride ourselves on being knowledgeable on exercise rehabilitation. You will have stretches, mobility work, and/or exercises included in your plan of care. Exercises are implemented to help support the hands-on care portion of care given in clinic. This allows for the best results in your recovery process.

At-home exercises help to decrease pain intensity, prevent probability of re-injury, and maintain your functional independence.

Soft Tissue Therapy

The therapy that causes the brain to release “feel good” endorphins.

All practitioners are trained in MRT and instrument-assisted soft tissue therapy to optimally treat muscles that are in spasm, have increased tension, or are restricting proper movement patterns.

Along with “feel good” endorphins, Soft Tissue Therapy facilitates the removal of chemical waste around the tissues all while increasing new nutrients and increased blood circulation.

Often as a warm up or cool down from your treatment you can expect to receive one or both vibration therapy or cupping; both have been shown to increase blood flow to injured tissues, expand on tissue elasticity, and regulate the inflammatory process by removing waste products and replenishing nutrients. Both of these therapies aim to improve proprioception and longevity of treatment results.

Practitioners will use a mix of techniques to find the best treatment results for you.

Athletic Taping

Supporting a stable position so you can stay safe.

For athletic-related injuries, our practitioners use fascial taping techniques to manage your pain and swelling and to improve posture proprioception.

Dr. Alana Nicholls frequently uses this technique when treating pregnancy patients, to help alleviate pain associated with “carrying low”.

Shockwave Therapy

Non-invasive therapy for invasive injuries.

Shockwave therapy is a highly effective, well researched, non-invasive therapy that is used to treat a variety of soft tissue, muscle, and tendon injuries.

This modality sends shockwaves into the bone or tissue to decrease pain perception through recalibration of local nerve endings, breaking up scar tissue and calcification, accelerating healing by stimulating fibroblast cells responsible for the healing of connective tissue, and stimulating an increase in microcirculation, further aiding in the healing process.

This modality is effective for treating:

  • Rotator Cuff Strain/Tear

  • Lateral Epicondylosis/Tennis Elbow

  • Medial Epicondylosis/Golfer’s Elbow

  • Plantar Fasciitis

  • Achilles Tendinopathy

  • Calcific Tendonitis

  • Patellar Tendinosis/Jumper’s Knee

  • Morton’s Neuroma

  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
